Nigel Braddock studied piano from an early age and graduated with a degree in piano performance from Otago University. In 2000 he set up his own record label, Monkey Records, and for twenty years he was busy producing albums, managing bands and touring. In 2020, now based in Berlin, he made the decision to focus on his own music and the release of his solo piano pieces sees him coming full circle as a musician. Heimweh is from his fourth EP and was written one day while he was feeling particularly homesick for his native Aotearoa/New Zealand. The stunning video features drone footage of some of Braddock’s favourite spots around the country particularly the West Coast beaches near Auckland and the West Coast of the South Island.
